Butterfinger Molten Chocolate Cake

I love making food with someone in mind. There’s a different kind of love that goes into it. This one’s for my big brother. He loves everything about chocolate cake and butterfingers so I decided to put the two together.

If Butterfingers aren’t your thing, you can make this without them or even replace them with caramel candies. It’s pretty hard to mess up warm chocolate cake and ice cream so have fun with this!

Butterfinger Molten Chocolate Cake

  • 8 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 6 tbls Butter
  • 4 tbls Peanut Butter
  • 3 Eggs
  • ⅓ cup Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Vanilla
  • ½ cup Butterfingers (crushed)
  1. Preheat the oven to 400° F.

  2. In a microwave safe bowl, add the chocolate, butter, and peanut butter. Microwave in 30 second intervals until melted.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Add to the melted chocolate mix.

  4. Spray four ramekins with cooking spray. Fill each ramekin halfway with cake batter, add a handful of crushed butterfingers on top, and top with another scoop of cake mix.

  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Serve with ice cream and more butterfingers on top!
